NYC

So I finally went to New York after being up in Philadelphia for over 3 months and only about two hours away! It was...well...exactly the way I imagined it to be. Freaking HUGE!!!!! everywhere you go there are skyscrapers! Tons of'em!! I was only there for a few hours but I got to see a lot. I drove to Trenton, New Jersey and took a train from there to New York Cittay. The train took us right smack dab in the middle of the Manhattan. First I went to Times Square which was sick!! Then I walked Broadway a few blocks to the temple. It was so amazing to see a temple in the middle of Manhattan. Crazy!! Moroni looked pretty dang awesome up there in the middle of the buildings. After that we took to subway all the way down to the Staten Island Ferry. It was an awesome ride and I got to see Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. I called Uncle Pat along the way on the ferry to Staten Island and he told me to look out to see one of the Churches he built on the island. I saw it but failed to take a picture because it was too far away. The sun was setting so I got some sweet pictures of Lady Liberty with the sun in the background. Then I went to ground zero and saw where they are constructing the new buildings in place of the world trade center. That place felt like hallowed ground. By then it was dark outside. I only managed to get a pic of the fire station right next to it. It was amazing to think that I was walking where people had fled for their lives. So, I had a great time getting to see New York and hope to go back some time soon. Go to the following website to see more pictures I took. http://picasaweb.google.com/flembag
